Aptera updates
The company claims that it is the first car in the world that will not require fuel for most daily driving.
Aptera co-maker Steve Fambro was quoted as saying, “While 40 miles doesn’t seem like much, it’s the equivalent of parking your car that magically fills two gallons of gas in it overnight. “
The Aptera EV manufacturer also claims that there is an opening to extend this range furthermore (up to 35 miles) by adding more solar panels on the car’s hood and hatch.
Aptera co-founder Steve Fambro
Fambro said, “So the reality is that you can park it at work or anywhere and when you leave it, the amount of energy you leave in it, in return, you get more electricity in its tank. It charges itself without paying a single penny for it. I feel like that freedom is what many people would like. “
Since solar charging is really not enough to deliver enough horsepower, its electric motor is primarily packed separately 100 kWh, which is claimed to achieve a range of 1,000 miles (1609km). If so, it is set to become the world’s first EV, which has a range that is far beyond other EVs.
