Mercedes presents the interior of the EQS, a large and luxurious 100% electric sedan that specifically opens a digital instrument panel … a width of 141 cm!

The veil of the Mercedes EQS continues to rise. A few days after the publication of “camouflaged” photos of the large, luxurious 100% electric sedan, the German automaker unveiled its interior today.

XXL lampshade is 141 cm wide

Unsurprisingly, the model, a variant of the electric S-Class, impresses your eyes by optionally launching a new XXL digital instrument panel called Hyperscreen MBUX, or literally “Superscreen”. With a size of 141 cm, this gigantic concave tactile feedback display covers the entire width of the dashboard, from the driver to the front passenger.

Mercedes EQS heals the senses

Among other things, Mercedes announced two worlds of sound, “Silver Waves” and “Vivid Flux”, which can be seen on the middle screen but are also inactive. Therefore, the driver and passengers can be received acoustically as soon as they approach and get into the vehicle. The corresponding surround sound also accompanies the output and the EQS lock.

The brand is still on the audio side, in addition to introducing new “Energizing Comfort” programs with soothing sounds like “Forest Glade”, “Whisper of the Ocean” and “Summer Rain”.

The olfactory perception was not forgotten even with a HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air), with which not only fine dust and pollen, but also sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides can be removed from the outside air.

Confused with you, Mercedes also promises that the EQS will come with artificial intelligence (AI) and a large screen on the glass that is compatible with a 77-inch screen. Finally, the company claims that the aerodynamic efficiency (Cx) of its sedan is 0.20.

480 PS and 700 km of autonomy for the Mercedes EQS ?

Technical data, still a mystery. However, the EQS should develop around 480 hp and 760 Nm of torque, which allows it to swallow from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. It should also have a 100 kWh battery that guarantees a range of 700 km.

Presentation in April, start in August

The first EVA-based prototype for luxury electric vehicles, the Mercedes EQS, is manufactured at the “Werk 56″ location of the Sindelfingen plant in Germany. It will be released in April and launched in Europe in August.
